Dawn is a retired educator with 39 years of service, the last 27 years being right here in Texas. With experience in both private and public schools, she has seen all sides of the Texas school system. It is because of her long commitment to public education and the successes that she has accomplished, that Dawn is ready to get in the fight for public education. 

Many running for office have education as part of their platform – but for Dawn, education is an integral part of her life. She has taught 7th - 12th grade science and math, coached basketball and cheerleading, and sponsored more clubs than she has space to list. 

Dawn has worked alongside some of the most dedicated educators in Texas to support a diverse array of students in achieving well beyond what they thought possible.

 

Dawn is an active member of her community since moving to Killeen by way of the Army. She is married to Michael and is the proud mom of Killeen ISD graduates Dayna and Mycah. In her downtime, she enjoys playing with her grandpups, Persie and Shadow.
